Room Divider Platform Bed
This was one of those fun beds to build. It is a design for a customer that had one of our baseball beds already on order and wanted us to create another themed type bed for another child. This is a combination of painting (art) and bed (furniture building). I am not an artist so we brought in a local artist to do the painting work. How we started is we built the bed and left the horse section just a square panel on the back and sides. The artist came in and traced the overall horse shape. We cut it out along with some detailed pieces to give it some depth. The jaw, front quarter and back quarter were again cut out and stacked for a three dimensional look.
We finished all the base colors. The horses were a brown, the fence and main bed parts were left natural. The MDF clear coated gave a great background color for the flowers.
The artist then came back in and finished the detail work in acrylics. We let dry for a couple days and then clear coated it.
This custom kid's bed creation was completed in November 2011.
Since we are totally custom, next step is to confirm the price.

Lead time
Since our items are made to order and hand built by one of our craftsman, our lead time is currently 3-6 weeks. Contact one of our staff for an exact due date on you items.
To Order
Two options to place your order.
1. Send us a quote with your name and address, and the description of the item(s). We will send you a quote which includes shipping charges. We will then get in contact with you (by phone) to finalize the order.
2. Go to our Order page and print the order foam. You can then either mail or fax it back to us.
We do not place the order entirely by internet because our items are all custom built item. We like to insure that we are building the exact item the way you want it. It also helps to protect you personal information.
Shipping
Since this is a large items it will require a freight company to ship it. To keep the shipping cost down, we quote on an individual basis to your zip code. This way we can compare prices from many companies. Most of the time freight companies will not deliver to your door without an additional fee (usually $60-$100). If needed we could arrange home delivery with an installation service (we are currently working on this). When you send your quote form be sure to inform us of your delivery and shipping preference. IMPORTANT: Upon delivery, be sure to inspect each box and note any damage before the shipping company leaves.
